Fellow bards, skalds and drunken slobs, it is time to finally rub the grime from our eyes, and turn our faces to the rising sun. And we do so by entering in a contest in which the ultimate prize is a battle against none other than the S2 Savages themselves!

Beta is here!

No more time to prepare! (Not even if you are a very nicely painted summoner with a gaily worded message in a brightly painted clearing...)

It is time to go about our first challenge as a clan: get at least half the clan together at the same time on one server, and actually play together...

Bring your best friends to the slaughter

Today, through the power of affection, tenacity, extremely semantically heavy propaganda, and bitter manipulation, I've managed to convert yet two more real-life friends to Aubadians (though sadly, our friendship went no further than that I had to lend them the money for their accounts :-P ). So, I want all of ye drunken bastages to sing drunkenly and drink singingly and bid a dawn-warm welcome to Lunar and Zerxes!

Lunar will most probably be a stealthy bastard (he says he's had a lot of practice in real life, and to this day, I've never dared to ask why), and with a lot of persuasion and some violent coercion, Zerxes might even be forced into focusing on the commander part (something he is ridicously good at, at least when marines and zealots and mutated sheep dogs follow his command).

So, our force grows ever stronger, and ever more drunkenly, and beta draws nearer by the day. In the words of the wise JavaneseOdawa, "we must prepare"...

Ah, sorry, fellow aubadians, I completely forgot.

I do not know for how long we will be needing it, but until Maliken and his team of brave builders have found the perfect spot for our new clan hall, this will be our temporary forward garrison:

Now, a few words of warning ;-) : These are the forums of my two bands, as well as the place where me and some of my friends keep in touch. Also, I use these forums to discuss my writings and literary creations (although very few people seems to be reading them these days, which might be attributed to the fact that I have very few works online).

Anyways, what this means is that you might encounter all manners of bizarre, perverse, peculiar or directly illegal topics in here :-P No one but us will have access to the hidden Aubade forum, but if you happen to stray from the safety of our clanhold, and into places where VERY strange men (my friends) go, I can still guarantee your physical safety, but neither your morals nor your sense of normality ;-)

Oh, and ignore the global accouncements that I still haven't figured out how to make not show up in particular forums. The global announcements are the ones named "Once More With Feeling" and "Ayjona har fått nog. Revolution!"".

Oh, yes, the procedural stuff: register, and once I find a new forum member (I check this place each night, and it does help if you use your Savage 2 name), I'll give you access to the Aubade subforums. And, yeah, any inappropriate or downright shocking posts in any of the other subforums made by someone who calls himself "Ayjona" must surely have been made by some other fella. There must be thousands of "Ayjona" among the twenty or so members of my forums...

We are the song that greets the dawn

Welcome, fellow savages, warriors and battle skalds, to Aubade. As the first rays of the sun split the horizon, and illuminate the bodies of the fallen in the bloody fields beneath, a new breed of warriors raise their newborn eyes to the pale sheen of early dawn, and raise their voices in song.

Apart from the pretentious introductory text, this is just a short notice to bid you all greetings, thank you for joining us, and say that work is currently in progress to determine a layout and color scheme for our clan hall. Exceedingly ugly work, but work nonetheless. Expect it to go from ugly to more aesthetically pleasing over the course of the next few days. Or, at least, pray that it does ;-)
